Swim Strokes 200 Courses

Prerequisite Skills:

Must have passed Swim 100 or be able to swim 15-20 feet with face in the water, and get breaths as needed. Must be unassisted by any flotation device.

In Swim Strokes 200, the swimmer will learn how to swim the formal strokes of freestyle with side breathing and backstroke. The Freestyle Side Breathing skill may be the most important one to learn in the learn-to-swim process.

What the swimmer will learn in Swim Strokes 200:

  • Flutter Kick (front & back)

  • Advanced Breath Control

  • Floating combined with Breath Holding & Breath Control

  • Streamline Kicking

  • Backstroke

  • Freestyle with Side Breathing

 

Upon mastering the "Swim Strokes 200" skills, the swimmer will advance to "Advances Swim Stroke 300," where they will learn to swim the Butterfly, Breaststroke, & Elementary Backstroke!
